I've always been known for motivating others and take pride in being an inspiration. I'm still surprised when someone tells me that they find their drive in fitness and becoming a healthy better person because of the way I choose to lead a healthy lifestyle. What some fail to realize is that we all have our moments of meltdown and off days. I myself have woken up in the morning wondering how I'm going to make it through the day or even week or month. April has been that kind of month for me. YES, I even need a kick in the butt and sometimes need to get my motivation from others.
Living in the crazy hectic lives we all lead it is important to learn to take me time. This is something I need to learn as well. I'm a dovorced Mom of 2 teenage daughters. I work a full time job in a factory, work in a bar on Saturday nights, and train clients in between. On top of all that I'm in school full time.
Sounds pretty crazy doesn't it? Well yes it is crazy. How do I find the time? Sometimes I don't and it nags at me when I can't get it all done. Another problem many of us face is how to ask for help. YES, I need to learn this as well. I'm going to do my best and take some me time even if it means the dishes don't get done. If I have to take a Saturday night off and my daughter can't have those new shoes she doesn't need anyway. Even if it means taking that hard earned money and getting a massage. ME Time we all need it and I'm taking mine.
On another note April is winding down and May looks to be another busy month. I'll be in Dallas the weekend of May 12th for a couple of interviews and guess what the rest is playtime. Yes I said it playtime. May 22nd I will be in chicago for a bit of work and the rest of the month we shall see.
Just remember take a break and relax. A smart handsome guy I know told me this and has been beating it into my head. You guessed I'm stubborn but I'm going to take his very intelligent advice and go get a massage and take the rest of the day off.
XO Kim
